We’re launching our first project in Kenya in partnership with International Volunteer HQ, supporting children with special needs through care, education, and community-based programs.

In Fall 2022, we partnered with Philosophy for Children Hawai‘i to facilitate meaningful, student-led conversations in O‘ahu classrooms. Through guided dialogue, we helped children explore their thoughts, emotions, and values—empowering them to think critically, express themselves confidently, and become agents of change in their communities.

From June 2018 to June 2019, we partnered with the Global Rescue Project in Ghana to rescue children from slavery on Lake Volta and advocate for their safe release. Alongside this mission, we provided daily care, education, and health support to orphaned and vulnerable children—teaching hygiene, English language skills, and assisting with medical needs like malaria treatment and testing. Our work focused on restoring dignity, safety, and hope to children who had experienced severe trauma.

 In June 2014 and 2015, I served as a Student Team Leader for a nonprofit-run Respite Care Summer Camp supporting children with special needs. I oversaw group activities, ensured safety, facilitated emotional support, and provided individualized care. I also worked as a peer assistant and taught English, adapting lessons to each child’s needs to promote confidence and communication.
